Sand Mallow:
The sand mallow, Sida Cordifolia is a beautiful, delicate, yellow blooming flower, related to our european mallow. The Sanskrit name of this beautiful flower already reveals everything about its application: "Bala" translates to "The one that gives strength and power". In addition the sand mallow has softening properties and reduces the Vata dohsa. In Ayurveda all parts of the sand mallow are used, but the highest concentration of active ingredients is found in the roots.
Rasna:
This aster plant, with the Latin name Pluchea Lanceolata is a 1.5m high shrub with purple flowers reminiscent of thistle flowers. In Ayurveda, the flowers and leaves are used in the creation of Ayurvedic oils to balance Kapha doshas.
Indian Mallow:
Like the sand mallow, the indian mallow or Abutilon Indicum belongs to the mallow family, but these two plants should not be confused. Known as Atibala in sanskrit, this plant grows into a small, tropical shrub. It's five-petaled flowers are bright sun yellow.
The softening and calming properties of this plant are described in the ancient Ayurvedic texts. All parts of the plant can be used, though commonly only the roots and flowers are used.

very nice, pleasant perfume and soaks lovely into your skin, and keeps it soft
I have been buying the Ayurveda products for quite some time now, and this is the 1st time that I am actually rather disappointed ! I decided to try this massage oil because, the one body oil I was after was sold out (and still is, even though I had been informed that it would be back in the 2nd week of November). It didn't glide on the skin the way the other products do, and I didn't like the smell at all.
I have loved using this product. Especially on ghe feet and legs but also around the decotelage. As it has a very lovely, earthy scent. I would recommend this and buy it again.
