Tamanri Comforting Body Oil

Product Details:

Loosen tensions and feel in harmony with your body by balancing Vata - The Ayurvedic energy of movement !

According to ancient Ayurvedic texts written in Sanskrit over 5,000 years ago, Vata is one of the three Doshas present in our bodies. It’s believed that having a good balance of these three Doshas gives us an overall sense of wellbeing.

Each Dosha has a different role in regulating our bodies and minds.
The Dosha named Vata is thought to govern movement in the body and the activities of the nervous system…

When we notice issues relating to these, a Vata imbalance can often be present…

How to tell if you have a Vata imbalance?

Ayurvedic literature teaches the following signs of Vata imbalance:

  • Stiff muscles and joints
  • Cold hands and feet
  • Cracking joints
  • Prominent veins
  • General body pain and aching
  • Weakness, fatigue and low vitality
  • Tremors and twitches

‘Himalayan Mountain Essence’

Shilajit or ‘Mountain Essence’ is a substance found primarily in the Altai Mountains of the Himalayas. It develops over centuries when high-altitude plants break down, so is exceptionally high in a wide range of minerals.

It has traditionally been used in India and Tibet for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. It has been considered helpful with various painful conditions in the body

 ‘Sacred Bengal Quince’

The Bael tree is known as the Bengal quince and is considered one of the sacred trees of the Hindus. The trees can often be seen near Hindu temples.

Bael contains natural chemicals called tannins, flavonoids, and coumarins. These chemicals have been found to help reduce swelling.

‘The Wood Of The Gods’

Devadaru is known as the ‘wood of the gods’. This is as it grows in the Himalayan mountain range, said to be the abode of the god Shiva. The melting snow that nurtures the plant is seen as the breast-milk of Shiva’s consort, Parvati.

It has traditionally been used in Ayurveda for reducing pain and inflammation.
